Blood type personality is a Japanese concept called ketsueki-gata that says that blood type shapes one’s temperament or personality.
Since 1930, ketsueki-gata has become a popular meaning when it comes to analyze a person’s personality based on their blood type. In that year, 1930, a Japanese professor established a link between our personality and our blood type.
Although there is no scientific proof that blood type influences personality, many people believe this is true, especially in Asia.
From a science perspective, the four primary blood types (A, B, AB, O) are differentiated from each other based on their antigens. Antigens are found on the surface of the red blood cells and help to dictate how effectively our immune system works.
We know that someone who studies science will never analyze the blood type and personality, but it is fun to find if the ketsueki-gata principles apply to us.
Depending on our blood type, we will see some pros and cons. Now, I am going to show you some of your positive and negative traits:
People with type A blood are earnest, creative, sensible, reserved, patient, clever, cooperative, and responsible. But at the same time, they are stubborn and tense people.
Type B people are strong, passionate, empathetic, decisive, and strong, but they are also selfish, irresponsible, unforgiving, and erratic.
Individuals with type AB blood are cool, controlled, rational, and adaptable, but they are also critical, indecisive, forgetful, and irresponsible.
People with type O are confident, self-determined, strong-willed, and intuitive. They are also self-centered, cold, unpredictable, and workaholic.
If we talk about dating, in Japan someone might reject a potential partner just because her or his blood type!!! The question, “what’s your blood type?”, is typically asked in the early stage of dating.
As with astrology, people can consult blood type personality because if we know it, we will be able to know or have clues about our future. Of course, you don’t have to believe it, but it is an interesting way to know about the characteristics of people around us.
